RE: Taking things easy after an injury

in EXHAUST8 days ago

If you did not have the watch as a guide I guarantee you would enter the danger zone more often than you would ever think. During the army days I would say it was a daily occurrence and for most of the exercise. We used to have to do a 2.4km run with full kit and rifle which was roughly carrying 75kg's of extra weight with a max time limit of 11 minutes and guaranteed the full 11 minutes you were in the danger zone. I think the BPM is important to pay attention to the older you are as we are not young any more even if we think we are still action man. Take it easy as we want your around for a while yet.

indeed. I really like having some sort of reasoning or information about what I am doing. In the past when I went running I had no idea if I was just being lazy or if my heart rate actually was extremely high. I have high blood pressure so it is extra important for me to have access to this information. It has made my fitness goals a lot easier to accomplish rather than just getting out there and running my ass off until I am tired and then quitting. With this system I can actually run a great deal further than I used to and without endangering myself.

Yes high blood pressure I guess is a good reason to monitor the app lol.
