Walking is great as it does not seem like you are doing exercise yet do it for a long enough period of time and you will burn plenty of calories and get your metabolism going.

yeah, I used to make fun of people that got exercise this way but if you are injured or prone to injury then this might be the only option. Not everyone can get into a swimming pool for doing laps.
