dannewton just finished a 11.7km run, that lasted for 68 minutes.
This run helped dannewton burn 890.0 calories.

Description from Strava: Cover Photo - a nice patch of mushrooms, these are Sulphur Tufts, and appear outside my front door every year (for the last seven years in fact... just a shame they are not edible!)

I don't like to post about every single run, and I doubt I'd have the time to try and write an interesting post each time, but today is now Thursday, so its time for a little recap of my week so far.

Mondays run you should already be aware of, which was a lovely bimble down towards Hartsholme Park:

It was a gorgeous day, with lots of sunshine and blue skies. As an update for my British Gas Smart Meter Issue, it has been rebooked by them for the 22nd of November and I can not change it. Guess I'm gonna lose another days holiday waiting in for them again...

Anyway, at least I managed to enjoy a nice little outing!

For Tuesday, I made an effort to get up early to go for a walk before work (I was at home on Tuesday), and then in the evening I went for my 2nd run of the week:

Mondays run had evidently been harder than I realised, and Tuesdays effort felt hard a little harder than it should've done. This shows in the average pace being around 6:15/km.

I picked the standard route along the bypass and back. I did take a headtorch, but as I managed to start the run reasonably early, I managed to get back home with out needing to use it (just).

On Wednesday I had a rest day, which was mostly due to having other commitments as opposed to taking a day off lol. I was in the office for work, and but the time I got home it was already 6pm. My partner was going to give me a call at 7pm, so I knew I wouldn't have time for a proper session.

That rare rest day on a Wednesday meant I was chomping at the bit to get a run done on today:

...and I guess the extra motivation to get outside meant I pushed the pace a little more at 5:51/km

I was still aiming for 'easy' but got a little carried away at times.

To be fair, these days I don't focus on a pace. Instead I ty to run to 'feel' and I felt pretty good out there. It would have probably been a little quicker than that, but the route I took went down through a local farm, and it appears to be potato harvesting season. I kept having to stop to let farm machinery past, as I didn't particularly want to get squashed!

Its probably about time to check in with my yearly distance goal again...

I originally aimed for a total distance goal of 3,500km, but due to some intermittent training back in Spring, that has dialed back to 3,000km instead. Checking the graphic on the strava app, I can see that I'm back on track, and currently 14km ahead of where I should be. I've got 600km to go, and near enough 10 weeks until the end of the year. The maths is pretty easy for once, and I just need to average 60km to hit the target

so far this week I've covered 41km, and with the long run on Saturday and another smaller run on Sunday, I expect to reach approx 65-70km this week.

I'm definitely on track!

So anyway, next up will be the run on Saturday, I'll be heading up to parkrun up at Yarborough, for a total of around 22km. I meant to do this last weekend but the stars didn't align (i.e I was just super lazy). I'll do it this time, I promise!

About the Athlete: Living in the UK, I am an intermittent Runner, but always striving for more consistency. When I'm not training I can be found photographing insects or listening to really loud angry music (which is the best type of music obviously!)
