Hello there, hikers and nature lovers! I hope everyone is doing well. These times of pandemic especially viruses are mutating, we must keep our bodies active and healthy. A day in a week especially Sunday mornings are perfect to refuel our strength and mind with exercising while enjoying nature's beauty. Taking a 1-2 hour jog from a whole week of stress and pressure will give us the motivation to move another week, right? It helps me a lot. It is like sweating your stress out from the week's work. While exercising, it is a nice feeling when we enjoy sightseeing.
Our Sundays are taking a jog and hike. We always like to go to the mountains going to "Danao Golf Course" (it is located at Sabang, Danao City, Cebu); a trail road where fresh air and beautiful mountain can be experienced.
I wake up early at 5 am and set everything ready. My boyfriend will then fetch me to go to the trail. Upon arriving, we can already witness the beauty of the skies while the sun is getting ready to wake up.
Stretching and warming up before taking the trail is vital.
As for me, I just take a minute of jumping jacks, 30 seconds of high stepping, 20 squats, and toe stretches.
While hiking, we witnessed the overlooking city of Danao and its wide scope of mountains.
Other bikers and hikers have engaged in the trail here also. Hikers are with their families; some are with their friends. They would also want to enjoy the day with bonding and exercise; at the same time.
An approximately 5-kilometer jog/hike will surely move some muscles and lose the week's stress. Refreshing sights I think can help our eyes relax from a week of facing the computers and laptops, right?
Along the way, damages from the recent super typhoon Odette can still be seen here - house debris and roofs.
Aside from damaged houses, people that come here to sightsee and exercise should practice CAYGO (Clean As You Go) because we have also noticed some trash thrown everywhere.
DISCIPLINE and RESPECT are two simple words that some people cannot comply. I think some measures can help prevent this from going further like putting charges to those who throw or leave their garbages. We'll, we should be responsible enough to keep our environment clean and green. We must not wait to implement something, yes? 😊 As they always say, cleanliness is next to godliness.

Enjoy Sun's Heat
It is a satisfying feeling when I exercise before the sun rises because that's when I can feel and appreciate the sun's heat - the heat when it touches my cold sweat from the hike.
The sun's rays are breathtaking. ❤️
We take each others' turns for a nice picture with the sunrise. I would tease my boyfriend that he should take a nicer picture of me with the sunrise because I am not satisfied when he takes pictures 🤣. But I think whatever pose and picture, we can never go wrong with a picture with sunrise or sunset. I guess because sunrise and sunsets already bring beauty to the picture, right? We have to take our time to enjoy and satisfy ourselves with it.
I even got the chance to have a TikTok entry. I was hesitant at first but the video was only 30 seconds so let's go! hahaha Enjoy! 🤣

It's nice to be able to exercise these days. It can be difficult with the pandemic restrictions but we can also do it at home even if we cannot go out. Those sunrise photos look fantastic. Must be really breathtaking seeing it in person.

But I really make the time to go out and breathe some fresh air at least once a week. Mornings have fewer people than in the afternoon so that's why I think it is safer.

Whoa! That is very cool! It's really nice to go for a jog or hike especially early in the morning and witness the sun as it rise. It is amazing that you do 5 kilometers, I've just been to three (back and forth), lol! Your shots are stunning btw, especially that with the sun rays and yes, the sun coming up :)
