Lunch Run: Looping the loop

Strava says this is my 800th activity! I was surprised it is that many.

The weather was not looking too bad and so I opted for a lunchtime run from work. I hit a snag at the start as the cleaner was in the changing block, so I could not get in there at first. After a trip to the loo it was available again. I was the only one in there, but that is not uncommon.

My legs were really not too bad after Sunday's long run. I need regular runs to keep them in shape.

I set off down the hill towards the town, but then it is uphill all the way and that climb is tough. I did not quite make it to the lake this time. I just improvised a route and did not take account of the way that road curves around, so I ended up heading the wrong way for a short while before looping around on myself. That area all looks much the same as the houses were all built at the same time. I did find my way to the main road and then it was down the hill again.

At the police station I cut across by the station to get back to where I started.

A lot of the underpasses have murals. My internet provider is blocking the link in the QR code, so try at your own risk. I have actually never seen Gremlins.

When I got back to the changing room I was really hot. I need more time to cool down, but I had to get back to my desk, so had a shower. The problem can be that I start sweating again after that. It was not too bad though.

My work day was fairly productive. I managed to progress a few things.

I've also never seen gremlins but that's some cool street art. I like graffiti when its good and not stupid tagging. I tried scanning the QR code but my phone wont pick it up 🤔

I've only seen parts of Gremlins, but I definitely recognized Gizmo. I was going to hit the treadmill today, but I am dealing with a resurgence of some respiratory infection, so I decided to skip it.

You need to get over that infection. Maybe you can do some less vigorous exercises for now.

I was doing my degree when Gremlins came out. I'm not sure I went to the cinema much around that time.

I'm thinking this might just be allergies or a sinus infection because of allergies. I don't think it is the same thing, but I definitely need to take it easy.
