This run helped steevc burn 566.0 calories. @steevc just finished a 8.83km run, that lasted for 69 minutes.

Description from Strava:
This was only my fourth time running parkrun this year. I have volunteered a few times and some runs were cancelled. It was a lovely morning with the sunshine, but it did start off pretty cold and frosty. I was hoping that the course would be less slippery as it would be partly frozen, but we did have some rain this week.

I jogged most of the way there and met up with some of the regulars. It was looking better than the last time I ran, but I think it thawed out a bit and having all those runners churns it up a bit. I just went with the pace I could manage and took care where it was slippery. Some people were in road shoes and I think you needed trails really.

I had a few people overtake me, but I just let them go. We each run our own race. My friend Jeff came past on the second lap when I assumed he would already be ahead. I kept him in sight to the end. I am fairly happy with my time considering the conditions. It was around my average for this course, but I aim to improve on that this year.

There were just over 100 there. Some of us went for coffee at the camp site cafe who did some good trade. We were chatting to a guy from Cleethorpes who said he was only there as his train home from London had been messed up so he stayed over and found a convenient parkrun. He has done a lot of different locations. I walked home with one of the ladies. She has lived here all her life and we were talking about how Arlesey has changed.

The sun is still shining, so we will be out in the garden today. The solar panels should be productive.

Run free and enjoy your weekend.

We've been having warmer days and cool nights. Definitely a sign the season is changing. Although like your photo shows, none of the bare trees have started growing leaves again. Which is one of the reasons I like also having evergreen trees on the property.

There's plenty of greenery around the course that is just past the bridge. The owners have been cutting some of it back. As well as running a camp site they have the lakes for fishing. It's good of them to let us run there.
