Went for a walk yesterday with a friend who has been going through some issues. He's put on a lot of weight, but that's partly down to the medication he is on. He's a lot younger than me, but has had mental health issues for years. He seems to be in a better place for now and is getting out for short walks. We went a bit further and did end up in a pub, but didn't drink much. I'm trying to get him to come and walk at parkrun and I'll do it with him if he does.
I had already been for a long run that morning and I'm feeling it a bit today, but then I was digging in the garden too at the weekend. Google Fit does 'heart points' and I managed almost 4x what they recommend last week. Have to try not to over-do it.

never heard of these heart points. I should dig into that a bit.
its' great that you are helping your friend. We all need to band together for one another.
I think it's based on minutes when you raise your heart rate with bonuses with higher exertion. I suspect there are people who hardly get their heart pumping. Just taking the stair instead of the elevator can do that. At my old job I would sometimes climb the 18 floors to my office. Now I just go up 2 floors, but have to do it a few times each day when I am there.
