Such amazing hiveghana weekly engagement wk20

The unending controversy between iOS and Android goes on. It is a pull-and-push affair; everyone claims theirs is better, but today we aren't focused on any argument of any kind. We want to learn what the preferences of our community members are. Would you go for an iOS or an Android when given the option to choose, and why?

Everyone wants a good phone; the primary reason for a lady is good-quality pictures, and for others who use it as a means of business, we have various brands of Android such as Samsung, Itel, Infinics, Tecno, Nokia, Huawei, Microsoft, and so on, but when it comes to iOS, there are types and models.
Before I make preferences and reasons, I will share my experience while I was in school.

At my 200 level, I got a Samsung phone, which was then a luxury. I don't joke with it; I guard it every time. One faithful day, it just stopped clicking. Note, that the phone did not fall off or break; it was just like a dream. I was pressing this phone a few minutes ago, so what happened I can't tell, but I'm someone who is trying to find out why something happened. I did all I could to make the phone press but it was unsuccessful Then I decided to take it to an engineer to see what was wrong.

On getting there, he checked the phone, and he informed me that I needed to check the screen. I was like, It is not possible; nothing is wrong with the screen; moreover, it did not fall from me; it just stopped pressing. I spoke all the English I understood, and then I just had to repair it since nothing else could be done. I asked for the price to fix the screen, and he said 50k to get the screen, and that was about 70% of the money I used to get the phone. I was perplexed, and a friend asked me if I should change. I would keep changing it because they couldn't use the original screen for me, so I made my choice. I added up the 50 thousand naira to get an iPhone, so that was my transition into iOS.

Why I Choose iOS:

Camera Quality: In today's analysis, iOS and Samsung cameras still stand to be the best, but I choose the iOS camera over the Samsung because, to me, the iOS image always looks unique and has this natural feeling, but the Samsung camera comes with its own filter, apart from the filters that come with the phone.

Second Value: The iPhone has a better second value than Samsung When you decide to sell it off, whether it is well used or not, you can still sell it close to the value you got it for or the exact value at a good economy value, while Samsung has a very low second value. you can only get 50% of the value when you sell it

Duration: iOS has a longer lifespan than other Androids if is well-used and maintained

Security: iOS has some security measures put in place; it blocks unsecured websites and is not prone to viruses this is because there are limited methods or means of sharing files or content with Android

I have experienced it

I’m glad I’ve used both devices, but trust me I can confidently say iOS is on top

The experience is so different and it user friendly

Your points are valid indeed, but I still prefer Android though.

Thanks for sharing.

@adetemi, thank you for sharing your experience and reasons for choosing iOS over Android. It's always interesting to hear personal insights on this ongoing iOS vs. Android debate. Your journey from Samsung to iOS due to your phone's screen issues is a relatable story for many.

I completely agree with your points about the advantages of iOS, and it's clear that you've had a positive experience with Apple's ecosystem. The camera quality, resale value, longer lifespan, and enhanced security measures are indeed strong selling points for iOS devices. The focus on these aspects is crucial, especially for users who value quality, longevity, and data security.

Such a well thought out post about the difference between iOS and Samsung. I just started using Samsung in April this year and it is good compared to the Androids I have used in the past but I don´t think I can subscribe to using an iOS phone, especially hearing how quickly it drains data and battery. I know someone who uses the same product of the phone and would complain about data every time. Lol

Normally ladies love iPhone because of its polished camera. For me, it is Samsung any day, anytime. I have been using Samsung since 2019 and I haven't gotten disappointed with it. Two years ago, I upgraded to a higher version and still rocking both of them with no problem till date. If I intend to upgrade again, it will still be Samsung. Samsung camera quality is topnotch and standardized. What you sees and shoot is what it gives you. As an artist, that is the kind of camera I need this time. More so, I sometimes take shots of natural things around me and my Samsung device has been my best bet. Loving it.

The only reason that would make me go for an iPhone is if I intend to just get it for flexing. Nothing more.

I can't defend other Androids but for Samsung, it's a yes, yes for me.
