Good day, and happy weekend, amazing people of the hive block chain. Welcome back to my blog. I am glad to have you guys back. This is another edition of the #hiveghana weekly prompts. What fuels your life? Everyone of us has something that fuels our lives. There is this particular thing or a particular person you look up to. Even when you feel like giving up, you can’t just do that because you need to keep pushing. The importance of motivation and inspiration can't be overemphasised.
Every day I wake up from bed, I know that there is a task ahead of me. I have many motivations, both from motivational speakers and motivational quotes. My family has been my greatest inspiration and has been my strength over the years. Whenever I feel like giving up, when I look at them, I draw my strength from them. I know it is not easy, but I have to keep pushing because there are so many people who depend on me. There are so many people who look up to me.
Even when the burden is heavy on me, I feel like ending it. I can’t just end it because of the people looking up to me. I have experienced many challenges during this journey of life that have made me feel that motivation is not good enough, but giving up is never an option. I have to keep pushing. I have this belief that there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
In life, there are people whose stories or lifestyles motivate and inspire you. I have a few people whose lifestyle motivates and inspires me. During my university day, I met this woman whose story inspired me. Her family is just like my extended family, which looks down on female children. They believe that male children are the only ones who can build wealth and make the family proud.

Meeting this lady made my thinking change. I see her as my mentor and teacher. She doesn’t know that I have been inspired by her story because I need to be successful, not just to prove to my extended family that the female gender is not useless, but to always fight poverty in my family. Lack of money was the main reason I lost my dad. If there is money to take care of hospital treatment, my dad should still be alive. This has always been my motivation. Each morning I wake up from bed, all my mind sets is to keep pushing until I have it.
Another thing that motivates me is putting a smile on my mom's face each time I look at that woman's face. I have this zeal to work harder to better her life. I know what we have passed through on the road has not been easy, which is why I keep pushing even when I feel like I need a break. I can’t just do that because I need to change some stories in my life. I also want to motivate my younger ones to work hard and never depend on anyone.
I channel all my energy, focus, and determination on building myself because these are the things I need to achieve this great dream of mine. The lady and changing my family story are what keep me going.
Conclusion: Never give up on your dream; keep dreaming. You will get there some day; keep believing and hoping.
