Opportunities arise and they fade, but what is disheartening is that most of us fail to spot them them until they are gone. Sometimes, we brush off new areas of knowledge on account of being perceived too complex or frightening. We allow ourselves to be stalled by doubt or fear or misinformation instead of taking the time to explore. A few years later and we're like, “I should have done this.
I first became aware of the blockchain in 2016. Back then crypto and forex trading were getting so much hype. I heard stories about how people were making millions, but I also heard about the risks, the volatility, and the technical language that seemed too complex to understand. Instead of taking the time to familiarize myself with it, I hesitated, i thought it was just a field will only experts with uears of training explore.
I let the fear of the unknown and the opinions of others stop me from jumping in. Rather than thinking of blockchain and crypto as an opportunity, I thought of it as something beyond my reach. Fast forward to today, now I have actually started learning how to trade forex. The more I dig in, the more I see how many layers I missed over the years. The area of finance is rapidly evolved and I had been sitting on the sidelines / watching others profit from something I had once ingored and could have leverage for good.

This realization hit me hard. How many other opportunities had I missed just because I didn’t take the time to look into them? But I know I’m not the only one in this game, many of us do this across facets of life. We hear about new technologies, investment opportunities, or emerging trends, but, instead of investigating them, we put things off. We tell ourselves that it’s too involved or too risky. We are afraid of failure so we don’t even try.
However, the fact is everyone has to start somewhere. Everyone successful today was once just starting out — unsure, lost and overwhelmed. So how did they make a difference? They made a move, while others stayed in their comfort zones. Hive wasn't just a platform for me, it was a launchpad, a step into innovation and a platform that I believed would help me to learn more. It challenged me to treat content creation seriously and now it’s challenging me to discover new ways to earn.

Throughout my journey here, I have introduced other people to experience it themselves, but noticed a trend that only a few last long enough to see results. Most shrink away when it gets tough and their expectations are not met. There was that opportunity; they just didn’t put enough time and effort into it.” This happens all the time. People hesitate and allow self-doubt to conquer; they regret later on not pursuing something that could have changed their life.
But here’s the truth: nothing worthwhile comes easy. The biggest mistake isn’t failing; it’s never trying. So, when you see something new, give it a fair shake. The fear of failure, the fear of complexity, the opinion of others are some of the challenges we may face and the challenge you dodge today could be your breakthrough tomorrow.

Thank you
Sometimes when I remember opportunities missed, I wish I did what was expected of me. Opportunities do not come just once but never miss any, cease every opportunity you get.
Opportunities will always come but on different forms which is why we need preparation and also consider taking risks sometimes, what we may see as posing risk could be the game changer.
Reading through reminded me of when I first heard about hive. I felt it was too good to be true and hesitated. Well, I'm glad my sister didn't give up because I'm here now. Like I'd always say, better late than never. A good read and nicely written 🙂
You are absolutely right, only a few stays to see the result on hive
