Userbase plays a crucial role in the growth, success and long term sustainance of every platform and this is crucial for the Hive blockchain. Often times people talk about mass adoption but that won’t happen until there has been a greater exposure. Hive has already set the stage with a wide range of innovations; with a thriving ecosystem full of opportunities but what’s ofen missing is more users.
Many people often become excited about the blockchain technology but then get discouraged by its complexities. The fact is, exploring web3 applications can be daunting for new users especially when there is no support available. For instance, with Hive understanding how it truly works goes beyond just creating an account; it requires an understanding of how the blockchain works to truly benefit from it.
This is why last year we(@mcsamm and I) introduced the Web3 Conference, and this year we followed up with a Web3 Bootcamp. These events are designed to provide potential Hive users the right knowledge and training so they have a good start and thrive in their journey. After our recent web3 bootcamp at the Valley View University-Kumasi, we had lots of students who expressed interest in knowing more about Hive.
The first step they took was the sign up processs and we all know onboarding doesn’t just stop right after sign up. It’s essential to provide continuous guidance to ensure new users don’t become inactive overtime. Often times, people qould simply sign up with so much eagerness to explore but the challlenges they may encounter can either make them give up too early or never fully explore the opportunities available to them.

Learning about blockchain and cryptocurrency can feel overwhelming for new users because of the many technical terms and concepts. To make the process easier, we decided to complement our efforts with an online training sessions to strengthen the onboarding process. This will help provide the needed tutorials and guidance especially for those who may be exploring the blockchain for the first time.
Navigating the Hive ecosystem do require time and efforts and we have organised this training session to help every one of our recruits to gain a clear understanding of how Hive works. With the team we have formed and with each person playing a key role we’re making progress.
Our first virtual meeting came off yestersy with a good turn out, We had 67 participants in attendance, which was a great start!. After the training we believe we will have users who are better prepared to make the most of Hive. A big thank you to @peleboss for being instrumental in organising this virtual meetup.
