Technology is a Lifeline

Often times I'm reminded of how much access to technology has made my life and the lives of all others better. Talking about technology, it's not that shiny gadget or some really cool app that I'm referring to but their real-life-changing solutions. Let me take a minute to share with you how many us wouldn't have made it this far in life without access to either the internet or a just the cellphone. How many of us would have made it today had not the internet and the cell phone been used? Imagine that.

Technology has come to work as the connecting bridge, exposing us to opportunities which no person dared to dream of little over the last ten years.
Take for example, how it has been useful to majority of us in education: things are easy nowadays, it has become essy to get any learning without physically sitting on any classroom. With platforms such as YouTube, Udemy, Coursera, one can easily teach anything or learn things for free, or at least in a way which would not cost that big money.

Want to be an entrepreneur? Want to know about farm maintenance? Design your website yourself? Unable to read and write? you can easily learn lots of stuff these days on your own suing the internet. For instance, farmers listen to videos teaching them better ways to grow their crops, while young people teach themselves graphic design and find clients all over the world. What skill have you always wanted to learn? today with the internet, we really have no excuse not to try.

We can also look at how technology is simplying is banking and finance. Technology is breaking down barriers to accessing money and resources. There are those as a result of their location can't access some traditional banks but technology has made it possible with the right tech tools such as mobile banking and blockchain. Now, this one I just love: Collaboration. Technology brought us closer: people sharing resources, ideas, and solutions in ways they could not before.

Need some health advice? There are apps for those. Want to raise money for a school project or for a family member's surgery? Crowdfunding sites make this a possibility. The Hive blockchain demonstrates how a diverse group of people can come together through active engagement to create something impactful, like the Decentralized Hive Fund (DHF). The DHF plays a crucial role in supporting and incentivizing community-driven projects, fostering innovation, and addressing the community's needs.

It's a fantastic example of how decentralized technologies can empower individuals and encourage collaboration, making it a powerful approach to community building. Now, none of this is to say that technology is perfect. Nor does it fix all problems. But as a tool, it offers us opportunities to improve lives and create an inclusive space for everyone, regardless of their location. Whether you’re in a bustling city or a remote village, the tools are available to you.

All you need to do is embrace them learn how to use them, connect with friends and family, and even grow your business. The opportunities are there; it’s up to you to seize them. Technology, at the end of the day, is about empowerment. It gives us access to so many resources we wouldn't have had access to otherwise. It’s about crossing the bridge where gaps once existed and unlocking endless possibilities.

Technology made everything that concerns life easy, from communication, transportation, everything is much more easier than it was in the beginning.

You're absolutely right! life has been made easier with technology.

I think technology is self empowering in many ways, especially with decentralized technologies. Now it's left to the individual to make best use of it to exponentially improve their lives, to be the captain of their own ship.

You're absolutely right! Technology is self empowering but it all comes down to how we choose to use it to our advantage.
