Time Value in Hive's Decentralized Landscape

in HiveGhana11 months ago (edited)

One of the things many of us effortlessly do every morning is grab our phones to check what's happening online. It appears that our electronic devices, particularly our mobile phones, have become an integral part of our lives. For the majority, the habit of picking up their phones to view notifications is something we do every now and then. The internet has presented us with its own wonders, making us appreciate the world as a global village, where we find ourselves connecting with others on a daily basis.

Most of us find ourselves spending more time in the virtual world of the internet than in the physical world. It's not always about addiction, for some people the internet serves as a crucial tool for work, learning, research etc. In such instances, being online frequently is a necessity. However, the value of each online moment varies, as it can either be productive or wasted, depending on our choices of where we spend our time.

Today, most of us are confide within the world social media where its offerings look appealing, fun, informative, educative and above all, entertaining. Being online means accessing or utilizing the power of the internet for any purpose enabled by technology. Our engagements online mostly take a great deal of time but all worth it if we have a more productive online experience.

With all the other reasons that may compel me to be online, posting and engaging, Hive has been my most priority. While on Hive, it's about connecting with others, sharing my thoughts and experiences, and shedding light on the impacts that Hive has made possible in the lives of many.

These things fascinate me and make me want to explore the Hive blockchain and ecosystem every day for my use. I believe every online experience only counts when it's well-utilized, and with Hive, you can witness the effective use of your time. For some people, exploring the Hive ecosystem daily can be a demanding and time-consuming task, but this is where we need to consider how Hive values time.

On most Web 2 platforms, where users often spend a significant amount of time, it's typically the stakeholders who profit the most due to centralized governance, a situation quite contrary to Hive's decentralized system. Comparing the time invested in crafting compelling articles and participating in various activities on Hive, it becomes evident that being actively involved on Hive is demanding. However, the acknowledgment and appreciation of this time by Hive's reward system make you realize the value of your time at the end of the day.

In contrast to web 2 applications focused on entertainment or socialization, Hive's decentralized applicarions offer tokens as rewards for engagement. Ultimately, it's not where one spends time engaging that matters most but how effectively it is utilized and valued. Sharing insights about time's value on Hive in this digital era to me is pertinent.

I used to be the type of person that found hive demanding and time consuming, this made me to be less active and it reflected in the rewards I got from the platform. I could spend hours on TikTok and Twitter but when it came to Hive, I find it a challenge to spend time here. I decided to change that this year and starting from the first day of the year, I started putting in more effort to be active here and what I found out is that it is actually easy to spend more time here when you make conscious efforts to do so. I guess it all starts with your mentality and the efforts you put into achieving your goals

So true, I stopped wasting time on other social media when I realized how much reward I could get from hive if I were to spend the same amount of time on hive.

Exactly. Social media can be very addictive because of the very interesting contents posted there which are usually videos and pictures, but they are all very big time wasters. It's only content creators and business owners who make money from using them that are actually benefiting

Investing more time in Hive is worthwhile compared to most Web 2 applications that offer little. I'm happy to hear know that you've chosen to be more active.

I think with the advent of the digital age, our time has become more limited with many activities to partake in, some of which are essential. However, prioritizing our time towards activities that are rewarding in many aspects is still fundamental and important. Glad to have found Hive and filling that role in the digital realm :)

Time, as we all know, is a precious resource that brings us good returns depending on how we choose to use it. Using it on Hive is something I consider well-spent.

I totally agree. Hopefully, more web2 users will come to realize that :)

The decentralization of the hive platform is what makes it stand out and the best of them all. Hive is a blessing.

Decentralization is the game changer

Well I still find hive demanding and time consuming but I always find my way around this thing... I want to be like you one day😃😃

When you start to consider the value you receive in return for your time usage, you will no longer see it as time-consuming or demanding. In my case I always approach it as a business; in this way you will put in more effort, become consistent, which eventually leads to achieving a meaningful outcome.

well said friend, I guess hive is worth the time, exception of the rewards, the people in the platform are packed with knowledge. Here, learning never ends.

Thanks for this. Hive to me is like a learning hub
