You will all agree with me that this year was a fast one. It was as if we did January to December in 3 months. Perosnally i can still remember vividly the first day of this year and tbe embarrassing stuff that happened. I had a flat tire during the crossover service in church and i had to result to an extra tire, from this incident alone, i knew 2023 has so many things in stock for me.
One lesson I’ve learnt this year is that things won’t always go as planned. It was the first I learnt. At the beginning of the year, i had plans of how i wanted this year to go. Wrote down couples of things which i do always call new year, new resolution. Few weeks after that, I discovered my new resolutions were not resoluting. But I’ve come to understand something in life, it wont always go as planned. Man proposes, God disposes
Amidst things not going as planned, a lot of other good stuffs has happened also which i didn’t plan as well. This has made me grateful and thankful.
One other thing i learnt this year is that small steps matters. During the course of this year, it’s normal for everyone to have big plans in different areas of their life. This can also affect us into waiting for the right time to make big moves for those big plans. This year has taught me a different approach into taking actions toward things like that. It’s that i shouldn’t just wait for big steps to happen, i should take small steps too because they matter a lot. They fasten whatever plan you had. I remembered during mid year around July/August, my brother and I wanted to start up this clothing business and we didn’t have enough capital to start big as we wanted. I took lots of small steps like downloading business books and reading them. Talking with people about collaboration and ideas even when capital wasn’t a sure asset as at that time. These are baby steps taken towards achieving a great feat. I didn’t just sit down, doing nothing while waiting for capital to start up the business.
This year, one of my plan was to acquire knowledge through wide reading of books, which by his grace I was able to make my mark in that area. Through different subject matter and areas, one thing that have stuck with me is how powerful our mind can be.
Keeping positive thoughts everyday has a way of bringing good results to us. But a lot of people worry from January to December about life, about what is out of their control, that they forgot to actually live.
I do that before I was informed. When I look back, all my worries throughout the year didn’t amount to anything good, rather they only brought bad emotions and fear to me.
Next year, i would be putting into consideration what i learnt this year and also putting efforts into learning other valuable lesson. That’s one thing in life, we never stopped learning.
I won't, can't agree with that, sorry.
No offense, but what took you so long? This is a lesson you learn in elementary school :)

There's so much happening, and like you said, God disposes.
Haha, your new year wasn't resoluting. It made me laugh. Hopefully, next year will come with a sweet package.
Even though this year wasn't resoluting, I will still write down new year resolutions again next year😂

Even though small steps matter, you need to make sure they are yielding results.
If not you will waste your time and effort.
