Valentine's has been something I have been looking forward to for quite some time now, probably because I was looking forward to what my boyfriend may do for me or perhaps what I get to do for him. Either way, i was excited about it
So initially I planned that I was going to take a few day's leave from work and see him so we could go out and then I could surprise him with a gift that I had planned for him. For a while now he has been talking about wanting a hoodie, one that comes with a trouser and I had ordered it a while back to surprise him
But then an unfortunate thing happened in the days leading the Valentine's day itself and the days afterwards. Well, I wouldn't say they were all unfortunate situations though, some were someway somehow good and he was ok with the fact that plans had to be canceled but it was painful that it happened.
The first was my permission to be absent for the days I'd wanted from work was denied by my supervisor, so I quickly rescheduled to the weekend and then when the weekend was getting close I got a call about having to tend to a private facility because their Optometrist had to be aware. You can imagine the disappointment I felt, well I do not know the disappointment he felt but I had to make it up to him.
So in an attempt to make it up to him, I asked Speedaf to deliver my Valentine's package to him on my behalf so he could at least smile and these people did not send it in time, it was so infuriating and I had to keep calling them, even till now they have yet to send it, I wish I had done it myself but hopefully he would receive it eventually I would get to see him smile.
I know he also has a surprise for me which I can't wait to receive, he is the kind that prefers to deliver things in person so probably until i get to see him again I would have to wait and keep guessing but hopefully that shouldn't be long.
So that was how the Valentine week went for me, the days were spent at work, wishing my loved ones from afar and hoping for the very best for them, but I knew the days would be exciting and can't wait to see what unfolds this week...
