Waste recycling is one of the ways of controlling waste in our environment. The importance of waste recycling cannot be overemphasized. An environment where waste is not properly managed is prone to environmental degradation and diseases. The process of recycling waste might sometimes be challenging but when they are properly handled, it becomes the best way to resource conservation and environmental preservation. An environment is a place where we live and as such there is a need for everyone to ensure that it is safe and healthy for everyone to live in. Our environment is becoming hazardous daily, environmental problems like erosion, flooding, tsunamis, earthquakes, landslides and many others are posing a great threat to the environment hence affecting both humans and wildlife. Beyond the cataclysmic effect listed above, indiscriminate disposal of waste products affects our farmlands, leading to soil depletion. Crops will not yield in a land that is full of waste materials. When this happens, hunger, there will be a decline in the production of food, hence the rising cost of food products.
It will interest you to know that most of the environmental challenges we are going through today are an aged-longed issue that was not given attention to hence, they grew over time and the impact is what we are going through today. Therefore, if we should take proactive measures today, will be addressing future occurrences.
As I said earlier recycling waste is one of the ways of protecting our environment against harm. As humans, we eat every day and in the process of doing so, we exploit the resources in our environment. We throw away cans, bottles, waterproof bags, old items and many others. These items in turn pose harm to the environment, making it inhabitable. If these items are properly collected and harnessed for reuse, then our environment will be saved and controlling waste products will be effectively handled.
In my residence, for example, certain products usually pose a threat to the environment and that has been plastic waste products. Consumables that are packaged are water, caffeinated drinks, and many more. The by-product of these goods is scattered all over the environment causing blockades to our waterways hence causing flooding when it rains. Therefore, recycling these products will help sanitize the environment and also prevent natural and artificial disasters that may occur as a result of indiscriminate dumping of these waste products. Beyond this, it will serve as a resources to industries for further production of goods. Instead of going about sourcing raw materials, recycling already used products can serve as raw materials for the production of either the same goods or another.
There is a need for mass recycling of waste products. Nothing should be allowed to pose a threat to the environment. The only way we can salvage the environment is by taking proactive measures against the indiscriminate dumping of waste products. Attention should be paid to those wastes that are recyclable and put into use to produce other products.

Here in my country, government's effort in ensuring proper disposal of waste has not been complemented by the people's adherence.

That’s true. Majority of the environmental problems we’re facing didn’t start today. They started long ago when nobody did anything to stop it.
