Surviving Hard Times

in HiveGhana3 days ago (edited)

The uncertainties filled in life means that there is bound to be hard times and good times and this applies to even the best of us or those who seem to always have things going well for them.

So we are bound to have good days and bad days.
We enjoy the good days and endure the bad ones, knowing that nothing lasts.

I have had my share of bad days and hard times and I don't allow it become more than that.
I ensure that I quickly get my mind in shape and brace up to tackle whatever the challenge may be.

There are several ways I do this depending on the cause of the challenge and the available options.

Speaking to a friend

"A problem shared is a problem half solved". I agree and that's why most times I just have to speak to friend or family who would understand me and by so doing get the matter of my chest which is a good way to start solving a problem.

Most times, communicating with a friend is all it takes to see me through the hard time or I get the solution to the problem from the friend.
I highly recommend this approach.

Listening to Music

Music comes with its own spirit. There's something about playing the right song for the right condition that mysteriously brings the required calm to a restless heart.

Music is my support system and interwoven into my stress management system. Despite the gravity of the occasion, finding the right music is sometimes all I need to get myself going once again.

Talking to Myself

Another thing I do is to remind myself why I started in the first place and that hard times are normal. Then I encourage myself to not relent or be down longer than necessary.
By so doing, I feel energised to keep going even when it's looking harder.

Playing Games

Getting myself in a playful mood by playing games or sports has a way of making me forget my problems temporarily and boosting mood such that when the game is over, I would be better equipped to go harder.

It is a morale booster for me especially team sports like volleyball. In such circumstances, it's not about winning or loosing but about the friendly and positive energy around.
Getting out and interacting is a good way to stay positive for me.

While none of these may directly solve the problem, they have a way of letting you unburden yourself and by so doing the psychological aspects of the challenge is gone.
Once the mind is prepared, great things can happen. Otherwise, it would be hard even in the right circumstances.

That's why it's very important to keep the mind positive and healthy because a positive mind would be ready to achieve almost anything and to overcome almost any obstacle.

Speaking to someone is indeed better and goes a long way to help take things off our minds.

It's a very important step that helps a lot.

Nothing good comes out of bottling things down, when we speak out, it something lessen the burden.

Of course and by lessening the burden, we get ourselves back on track.

You see that talking to your self?? It's fire because the advice you give yourself is the one that you take at the end of the day.
