in HiveGhanalast year

October really seems to be taking its time in getting through the year, but we keep moving on nonetheless, and while it is the beginning of another wondrous week in October, I am here to present to you our activity for the week.

Before we zoom into what may be available for our participation this week though, I do hope that we have been enjoying the activities so far and that we are eager for more. We are always open to your ideas and suggestions, anyone who wishes to share theirs could read out to any of the community leaders.

African or Western

This week we are going to be looking at three different aspects of culture and with these aspects we would be looking at, we want to know what our community members would vote for or would choose or prefer when they have the option to do so.

Why do they prefer perhaps the African version to the Western culture or vice versa, and what do they think they would do differently in different situations. We know our members are amazing, creative, and innovative with wonderful ideas that we would all love to hear from and so, without wasting much time, let's see what we have;

Dressing

Our aesthetics or physical appeal is one of the most important aspects of us as humans or individuals and as people of a culture. How you dress tells a whole lot about you and where you are from. It could also give indications in different ways as to whether you are trustworthy and others.

The western world is big and so is the African continent as a whole, as you go down below the bigger umbrella you realize that although one dressing could give ideas of African or Western descent there could always be more to it, but we are leaving that to you, tell us your preference between western style dressing and African style dressing.

Music

Music is a universal language, we all understand that because one would hear some beat arrangements and automatically start dancing to the tune, a lot of times we hear foreign songs for which we have no idea the language it may be or what it says and yet still can enjoy it.

However, we all kind of have more affinity for a particular genre of music as opposed to the others. We do not know whether your genre falls in the African group of music or Western group of music, but let's hear from you, what have you to say about this week's topic on music.

Food

In our contemporary society, as we know it now, we refer to the world as a global village because of how connected we all have become, and so one could be in Ghana and would have access to all the kinds of delicacies in Mexico or US or UK, etc. This makes our topic and what we have to share on this topic more fun and interesting because it means we have extensive experience to share.

So tell us, with the African foods you know or are used to and may have eaten as compared to the Western groups of foods otherwise known as continental dishes, which would you go in for and why, tell about these foods and perhaps the history behind them.

Same rules, let's make sure we follow the rules:
