Hello @hiveghana first time coming around here, exciting community of the great people of ghana and beyond, saw this week's contest through a friends reblogged post of the community and i'd love to share in my side of the beautiful and amazing childhood memories, especially some of the tales i was told and i so believed back then just for me to grow up amd realise they were all childhood fantasy or something our parents told us to keep us away from doing certain things, and now when i look back at those memories i just smiled and wonder how life can be, how we all transcend from one stage to another with different tales that grips our minds and made us believed some myth to be true.

When i was a child i was told that when ever my tooth pull out i should do this things in other for them to grow back, if my upper tooth pulled out i should close my eyes and throw them over the zinc of our house, i must do them, if not it will not grow back, and then if the lower part of my tooth pulled out i should close my eyes dug a hole in the ground and bury it, i so believed this to be true, my mom or aunt would often tell me, about a child whose teeth has refused to grow back because.they did not follow these routine, so i dare not disobey of i want my teeth to grow back, as funny as it sounds i so believed it, just fore to grow up and realise it was all a lie....
Then another hilarious thing i did as a child was what i was told which i believed so well, i was told that if i swallow the seed of an orange that it would germinate out of my head, so i wouldn't dare to swallow, so whenever i'm leaking the orange i'm very careful, so one day i mistaken did swallow the seed 😆....
I did everything humanly possible to get it out, but i could not, i began to cry, i never wanted my mom or my seniors to know about it cause they would so beat me, i went to bed that night with the thought of an orange tree on my head😂.. And i'd dream how an orange tree began to grow on my head and all the kids were laughing at me,😆😂
Even when i woke up, first thing touched my head if there was an orange tree growing out, i would often look up like to see if there is an orange tree on my head lol, that was really funny when i realise that this was all a big lie, there is no such thing as orange tree growing out of someone's head...
Finally the last one whenever we are travelling on the road afar off, we would see water like stuffs on the road, my uncle told me one day that its the spirit or ghost bathing there lol..... That is why when we go close to it we won't see it anymore, but none of that is true or real, the water-like something seen afar off is actually a radiation of the sun on the asphalt heating and forming water-like substance on the road.

That orange seed thing was so scary and I can relate. Those dreams sounds really funny. Wait, thst means you even were able to sleep. I couldn’t sleep o😂My brother put corn in his ear and it actually started to germinate at one point so they had to go remove it at the hospital for him. So I was very scared the day I swallowed those seeds 😂
Wow, 😄😄😄😄😄.my God, those were very funny...most times i look at children of these days and i just wonder how life has changed, they dont even play in the sands anymore or dance in the rain....all those fun childhood memories....
