I can bet most of us wake up with great energy and willingness to crush our goals and end up achieving nothing but rather sleep with guilt. Just like procrastinating what you plan to do the next day and eventually not doing any. I can tell there was a time in my life when all I did was eat, scroll through social media, eat, and sleep, and the day ends, but ever since my day is filled with activities, I find it extremely hard to achieve all of my daily routine, so I decided to find a solution. I didn't want to go to sleep batting over my losses and what I couldn't do.
I found a solution, and the solution was from my mindset, saying no to things, saying no to scrolling through social media, and focusing more on achieving my daily list. Each morning I wake up, the first thing I do is to reboot my mind and write down my to-do list. You might ask, Won't you pray? In an African home, it is always a daily routine to have family prayer the first thing you wake. It was a routine I was taught but still practiced. I pray every morning, but then it comes later after I'm done writing what I intend to achieve in a day. And it's been working pretty well for me. For me, I do most of my schedule in the early morning when my head is still cool and the environment is calm.
Furthermore, energizing is a goal. I go jogging. I'm not doing it to lose weight but for the general well-being of my body. My day already began; I focused more on building momentum by taking away everything that could be a distraction. Arranging my space, removing clutter. I go as far as locking off my notifications so I won't have anything that would distract me.
Whenever I feel tired, I take a 20-minute short break before bouncing back.If you know me well, you will know I take my diet very seriously. I don't do junk; I do homemade cooked food. I made sure to eat healthy food and drink lots of water. As the morning wears away and afternoon comes, I focus on switching gears and focus on doing more creative tasks. I review my to-do list again to be sure I am on track. When my head is already blown, I focus more on doing weird things, doing some of my hobbies. Imagine standing in front of the mirror and doing makeup on your face when you don't have anywhere to go or just practicing how to style a head tie… Hehehe, most times I do that whenever I feel tired and exhausted. It gives me the momentum to bounce back again.
The truth about daily routine is knowing what you really want from your day and being intentional about your daily to-do list and doing it no matter what happens. For me, that's the best for me: I wake up writing what I want from my day and hitting it so hard till I achieve them.

I had a conversation with a friend, and she was asking me if I always forget to reply by text or chat. I said, The truth is, I do see the message, but if I don't finish what I am set to do in that day given the limited amount of time, I won't reply text. Besides, I have a closing time for myself, which is 5pm. So from 5pm, I reply to all my texts and do all the scrolling I couldn't during the day while being productive. The mindset is all that matters; if not, one wouldn't achieve anything notable during the day
That's nice, I might follow your rules.
Hehehe
I’ll follow you to keep you reminded
