I love raining season because of the coolness it brings.
But when I came here and saw the effects of continuous heavy rain, I started praying for rain to stop falling.
I even get scared whenever it starts raining and, of course.
All my fears paid off with an uncontrollable flood, which have lasted for weeks now.
Despite that, I continued to pray that it didn't rain anymore.
And God hears that, since then it stopped raining.
I am currently waiting for the water to dry up, which I know it will happen soon.
Currently, with no rain.
Everywhere is hot, and the sun keeps basting harshly every day.
Like the sun comes up so early in the morning and continues to shine until late in the evening.
So, you can imagine the hottest one experience all through the day.
The tress doesn't even move, at least with their movement, we can enjoy some natural breeze in abundance.
Speaking of a natural breeze, that is the free one everyone can enjoy.
Because the city I am currently residing in doesn't have any electricity supply.
Like, we have been without electricity for months now.
And fuel price is very high, it is not something to afford easily.
Yes,before you talk about fuel.
You should worry about a generator, which is also expensive and can be frustrating with its maintenance.
How do I survive with all these challenges
Firstly, I try to walk around with an umbrella, which I use to shade myself from the harsh sun whenever I am walking outside, especially places without shade.
Then, whenever I am home.
I sit outside because outside is not enclosed, it is a bit cooler there than inside the room.
At night that mosquitoes won't allow you to sit outside.
My survival skill is, I immediately shower.
That is pouring some water on my body and water draining all the water on my body.
I lay bare body on the room tiles all through the night with a handfan beside me.
To use to fan myself on intervals but when it gets so hot.
I will wet my small towel and place it on the floor, then lay on top of it.
Every season comes with excess of something.
And the season will pass in no time.
But the season is unbelievably long, with there are no survival skills.
It surely because unbearable and frustrating.
Thank you very much for stopping by my participation in Hiveghana weekly engagement wk 76.
Do enjoy the rest of your day.
Keep celebrating being alive, always continue to stay safe.

Seriously.

Wow!
So true I love this particular phrase in your write-up, "every season is unbelievably long when there are no survival kits."
As I put some thought into It, it dawned on me that It cuts across every area of life.
Some seasons are like high moments when all seems rosy and bubbly, while some others may seem like low moments, dry or difficult season.
A way to thrive in every season, which you revealed by your write up is to have "survival kits."
In high moments, survival kit could look like, you valuing genuine relationships, and focusing on areas that matter most to you as high moments may come with it's own distractions.
In low seasons, survival kit could look like, having a strong notion that this too shall pass; tough times don't last, rather tough people do; showing gratitude; calling for and embracing help when you need it... e.t.c
Thank you so much for the beautiful piece once again.
Thank you very much dear for stopping by.
I'm glad you can relate 😊
My pleasure ☺️
Alright dear
Yes, you are right about it, every season come with something, and that's lt about the dry season, a person needs fan ln the room so that lt doesn't get too heat up, that towel you lay on the floor ls a good thing as lt will make the floor to be cool
Thank you very much dear

During the heat season you will know that having an air conditioner is an achievement 😂.
