this week's edition and the prompt that hits the spot for me says;It has been a while since I made an entry to the weekly writing prompt highlighted by @hive.ghana. I'm back at it for

What’s that one thing you believe scares you the most?

If I'm being honest about this life that I'm living now, there is a long list of things I find scary. There are also a long list of things that personally scares me. There's actually no limit to these things because I also have genuine fear for things that I do not have any knowledge about.

A good example would be me taking a walk in any part of Nigeria. I understand that this country is not the safest so whenever I have to be outdoor, I know there are multiple ways for me to find myself in situations where I wouldn't want to be in. So, I find that scary.

Will that fear stop me from going out?

Nope!

It will never stop me!

I also have genuine fear for being cashless and adding more years to my life without seeing any significant improvement to my finances. Being stuck in the same financial position scares the living hell out of me. It's even worse now that I have so many responsibilities and I'm spending insane amounts of money.

Does that stop me from spending money whenever the need arises?

Nope!

I just don't spend carelessly!

I also have fear of failing in my attempts to achieve my life goals. That transcends into fear of not being a successful person. That's likely the scariest thing that guides the decisions I make in life.

Does that fear stop me from trying to improve my life?

Nope!

I double my effort and keep grinding!

As you can see, all the fears I have are genuine.

Nonetheless, I've never allowed that fear to stop me from stepping up to take action when the need arises. Instead, I read the situation at hand and use that as a push for me to move forward and overcome the fear.

There are also moments when the best thing to do is to apply caution in the lifestyle I live. For someone like myself who lives in this unsafe country, I sure know I won't be doing sketchy things in unsafe places at very odd hours.

Well, life is still happening and feeling fear is part of the existential emotions we have to deal with as humans. I hope y'all find ways to overcome your fears.

Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop or Comma.

One of the things that I have come to discover is that we can not prevent fear from coming but we can position ourselves in a way whereby we can deal with it

Bro. That's so true!

Fear is part of what makes us humans. However, even when there's fear, we need to stand tall and overcome that fear.

Look at me smiling while reading the part where you double your effort and keep grinding. That is definitely the highlight of this post for me!

Hahah... That's hilarious, Abenad. It's even better because that's the reality of life.

We need to keep showing up and grinding even when the odds are against us.
