We get up each day to do our work, stay on track, and get things done. We try to do all these to the best of our ability and we always hope to get through each day in good health. Some people work really hard and still struggle to make ends meet because their finances aren't looking good.
I often tell myself that it would be a real shame for someone to work really hard each day and still struggle to have enough money to take care of his or her health. That's a big concern and I've seen it happen a ridiculous amount of time. In addition to having financial issues, some people also have a shit ton of issues in their interpersonal relationships.
At the moment, many people have all sorts of issues they are dealing with and these issues compound to cause a huge mental health concern.
Depression and anxiety are hitting a lot of people hard and in my experience, some people who suffer from these still fail to see it as a major concern. They would try to get treatment for headaches or a cut on their finger. But they don't work towards taking care of their depression, anxiety, traumatic experiences, and whatnot.
What about you? Do you make an effort to improve your mental health?
In recent years, a lot of campaigns have been made to raise awareness about mental health and keep people informed about the importance of prioritizing their mental health. A lot of research materials are also out there and while I'm busy dealing with what life throws on my path each day, I still try to get myself enlightened about the things I need to do to be mentally healthy.
Being comfortable in my own skin is one of those things I do. I don't completely tie my happiness to other people's opinions, actions, or inactions. I've long given up on expecting too many things from anyone and this is something I had to resort to after watching people make promises without making an effort to keep to their word. That's usually enough to tear people to shreds especially when they have so many expectations.
Making an effort to be in a good physical health condition is one of the things I also do to subsequently have good mental health. I work a whole lot of time and part of the things I try to do is to eat when I'm hungry. It's true that whenever I'm alone (and I live alone), I don't take breakie until midday. However, the nutrients I take are of decent quality and I try to not miss dinner.
Working out especially has a very good effect on my mental health. I try to go for a walk, at least 5 times each week. I also do some indoor workouts which can be quite exhausting. But doing those at several intervals each day helps my mind and body to stay sharp and alert.
Our physical health gets the most attention because most people know what will happen when they become physically ill. Nonetheless, our mental health should never be taken for granted. I sure don't mess with mine.

Our mental health is sometimes neglected but shouldn't not be so
Yeah. It's important for people to take that side of their life seriously.
Yes oo
Indeed, having too much expectations can cause you a whole lot. Manage your expectations, manage your mental health. Thank for this write up
That's exactly what I found out. Without having too much expectations from people, we will be able to be in good mental state even when the person starts doing disappointing things.
With all that's happening in our nation at the moment, one needs to take good care of their well-being generally, especially their mental health, in order to stay sane.
That's very true. We need to take good care of our mental health in order to stand more chance of maintaining the overall health of our body.
Mental health is really important to our wellbeing and this is good to see
Yeah. It's very important. Our mental health is never to be taken for granted
