The misuse of power is something I find very interesting, because with the current situation in Nigeria some persons still find it interesting to oppress the poor and less privileged. And it’s applicable to even the military personnel’s. And people are not talking about it, we just take it like it’s the normal way.
Not forgotten the depression people are going through it’s just too bad. And people are no longer worried and it seems like they are now used to living such life.
I want to share with us all about my experience I had last year while coming back from school. After having a stressful lecture with intense pressure from lecturers.I was walking with my friends a boy and a girl at about 7:50pm, we were walking together and playing then we walked pass a barrack and still talking
An average guy just stopped us . With shocking face we stopped to see what he wants to say, but the way he called us we knew he was a military man with an Hausa accent so we went to him.
The first thing he said was: do you guys want to sleep in the guard room this night and we where like “we don’t understand you sir” he repeated him self saying “do you guys want to sleep in guard room this night” .

The most shocking thing is he wasn’t on uniform nor was he on his identity card and we said sorry sir ooohhh. He was approaching me like wanting to get physical with me particularly and I kept adjusting back , he was on a range already and I just don’t know what’s really going on with him
We had to apologize for like thirty minutes
he was still saying he will show us. We couldn’t ask what was our offense not to make him do what he promised he was going to do we just kept our cool. People where passing and nobody could stop to say what’s going on here, to be sincere I was scared as hell.

Where do we start explaining and when it comes to army they don’t operate like the police where u could come in and make bill for the person. I was telling my friends to keep their chill which we all did he went to the barracks and came back to us which we still stood waiting for him
God been faithful he left us and walked away my female friend thought about what just happened and she shouted what was our offense he heard her and looked at us shucked his and continued walking.
And we started asking our selves did anyone hit him, did anybody say anything? And it was so funny that someone who was to be a friend to the society feels the need to be feared because he is a military personal, he can just do as he wishes.
Is that part of the training they where thought? Can’t we just spend time together in love with them.
I keep reminiscing on it and I can’t help it guys, what I say to my self is “success is the only means of eradicating this mentality” though that’s from my own point of view due to what I’ve seen in my time.
but it’s just not proper to oppress others with our little achievements.
Because tomorrow is something that never ends and we all keep walking to get better with time and be a better version of ourselves. And we need more of philanthropist who has the less privileged in heart.

Some people just don’t understand the importance of giving and they keep looking out for them selves.
Why are we even not ok with the idea of sharing.
Remember that the best investment we can do in life is investing in people because they will definitely pay back. That’s why we need our selves and not showing “POWER” to the less privileged.
Abusing of power is been invested when pride sets first, let’s kill our pride and ego and learn to work together for the benefit of humanity
Power either in military or financial aspects we should make it a point of duty to look after each other.
