Everybody wishes to change the world but nobody wants to change themselves
in my experience, being a leader is not an easy task, talk more of being the president of your country, even if it is for one day.
the world economy is not smiling now, especially in africa, if i was to make a list of things i want to change in my country, my jotter will be filled up without any space, being a president is not part of my dream, but i will gladly accept the role for one day.
what will i do or change if i were to be a president in my country for one day, lets start with
***** STABLE ELECTRICITY- in my country nigeria, electricity has always been one of our major problem, since i was born, i have never experienced stable electricity for straight one week without power outage, and this is a very bad experience, this stable power outage has caused economy stagnation, because it has increased unemployment in the country, there are so many companies that have moved to another country due to constant power outage, apart from the unemployment caused by poor electricity, it has also made the price of commodities in the country skyrocket, many people are barely feeding themselves because of the high price of foodstuffs and commodities, especially cold stored foods.
***** GOOD ROADS- if i become a president for one day, i will make sure i add good roads to part of my project, some roads in my country are very bad, so bad that vehicles have to be pumped up so that the bumper don't touch the ground, whenever it is raining season the road goes from bad to worse, no vehicle will be able to pass then, some roads has not changed for ages because they have become forgotten roads or projects.
***** FUEL PRICE DEDUCTION- if electricity is good the impact will show on fuel price, my country nigeria is one of the biggest owners of natural oil and gas, but fuel price is something else, even now the price is not bearable, it is outrageous, fuel is one of our many natural resources but fuels price has been hiked up like gold
Being a president for one day will help me bring the price way down because it's one major factor affecting the economy greatly.
***** SECURITY- lastly security will become so tight especially in the north, killings in the northern part of nigeria, this has also affected farm productivity, the northerners are majorly animal and plant farmers, but kidnapping and slaughter of farmers in thier farm has reduced productivity which has greatly affected the countries economy.
There are many more things i would add to this list, but i believe these four things will cover many parts of economic problems.
