Last night, I and @collinz had the pleasure of participating in a workshop accompanying a virtual meeting. On it, we introduced people to Web3 and blockchain technology. This presented an incredible opportunity to communicate what young people can do within a decentralised world, on the Hive blockchain in particular. A sign that things were going well, the participants felt both engaged and enlightened during this set.
In our discussion of Web3 basics, decentralised finance, content creation, and community-driven economies, many participants took an interest. You and I both know that often young people today are eager to know what's different about this new system called blockchain technology and how they can use it to make a career in the new economy. For instance, build up their own value, streak ahead on their own steam from nothing.
One of the areas in which we placed emphasis was the Hive blockchain. Blockchain provides rewards for data information of any kind or any size, without taking a fee and being decentralised in comparison to authority control by multiple organisations. These young people, from blogging and vlogging to gaming and project funding, were trained in how to get Hive functioning for themselves.
They took advantage of the opportunities they were presented with in our session to show off their talents, build up communities, and gain some economic benefits that are real. I am truly seeing the light at the end of the tunnel as participants begin to embrace Web3. More and more people are getting ready to lift up a new front moving towards financial freedom.
What made last night's meeting special was our cooperation with great friends equally up for promoting Web3 knowledge. It was so stimulating to work with @collinz, who has such a deep grasp of the field. Between us, we gave real-life examples, took questions, and led the audience on their first steps into the world of Web3.
My heartfelt thanks go to @peleboss for arranging all this. To pull participants together to talk about such a big issue is no small undertaking, and its success was largely due to his effort. The over 60 participants who turned up, showed interest, and took part in discussions is a testament to society's growing awareness of blockchain and its influence on our future. What happened last night was more than just yet another virtual get-together.
It was an attempt to deliver something—knowledge that can help shape a new generation's careers and bring financial freedom. Web3 isn’t just a flash in the pan; it represents people and their interaction with technology, finance, and creativity. No one saw me breaking new ground in this field until now.
It is always with great pleasure that I take part in initiatives like these targeted at giving young people tools for success. This is just the beginning! As we run a series of such workshops, meetups, and educational sessions, we will be able to form a strong, conscious Web3 community. Look forward to even more fruitful sessions!
