Asamankama, a fortunate community in Ghana, is set to receive not just one but two hive boreholes, thanks to the incredible work of the Hive ecosystem. This opportunity arose during the construction of the 12th borehole, which is currently underway.
Upon engaging with the community leaders and the chief, we were enlightened by their belief in the transformative power of the Hive blockchain. This inspired them to make a request, a testament to their faith in our mission.
The community leaders expressed their desire for an additional borehole, given the significant size and rapid expansion of Asamankama. They hoped to renovate an existing borehole, constructed years ago but no longer operational. This traditional borehole, operated manually with a handle, had suffered considerable damage over the years due to continuous pumping, leaving the community without a water source.
After careful consideration and discussion, the community granted approval for the renovation of the old manual borehole. To make it fully operational and serve the community effectively, a new structure needed to be constructed, mirroring our standard borehole design. Fortunately, this endeavor is cost-effective and aligns perfectly with our commitment to providing clean water to those in need.
In this update, I am thrilled to share the progress on this second borehole. The drilling team has done an exceptional job, installing a pumping machine and all the necessary components to breathe new life into the old borehole. Today, the community rejoices as water once again flows from this borehole, bringing immense joy to everyone.
Construction on the structure and the subsequent project stages is well underway. We are now on the verge of having two significant boreholes to inaugurate in Asamankama, located in the Ashanti region of Ghana. The progress achieved fills us with immense pride, and from the current progress, we are confident that we will be able to unveil the borehole early next week.
Stay tuned for further updates on the launch and the remarkable progress of this new borehole, ensuring that clean water reaches the heart of the community. A heartfelt thanks to all Hivers and supporters who have been instrumental in making the Hive's positive impact felt in these communities. Your contributions have made a world of difference.
