Hello Everyone in the Hive Ghana Community. Welcome to my Blog. It's my first time Participating in this community. I hope you are all doing well?
I am very excited to be participating in this weekly prompt by the #HiveGhanaCommunity. I will be writing about the kind of Job i can never do despite the pay.
Nigeria today is a place where the majority of her inhabitants, most especially the youths, are really struggling and at the same time looking for every means to survive. Due to this very reason, a lot of us have found ourselves doing the kind of jobs they are not supposed to do as human beings, just the other day I watched on the internet how a guy carried air conditioner on his head to climb a four to five storey building to mount using a ladder, something that ordinarily in some advanced country, could be done using machines or robots, but maybe that guy accepted job just so that he could provide for his family.
Nowadays, we hear cases of people not being able to feed even twice a day, some dying of hunger, we hear cases of fraud here and there and even our young men carrying amenities to go on physical operation to steal from others. The kind of country we have found ourselves in today has made us almost believe that we can do any job no matter what it takes, as long as it puts food on the table.
However, in the midst of all these, the line of work I will never get myself into is tuberculosis diagnostics. I can never become a tuberculosis specialist no matter the amount offered to me. The reason is because tuberculosis is one of the most contagious diseases I know. I have also heard of many cases of health workers who have eventually contracted the disease while trying to carry out the test in the laboratory.
And according to the report, Nigeria has lost more workers in this department than any other health diagnostics departments. I have also learnt that people with tuberculosis can equally endanger the lives of other people around them, for example their family and friends. As a result, I do not want my family and even my friends to be exposed to tuberculosis, let alone me. Even if it is the only job that is available in my country and it's paying real good, I will rather go into sewage recycling. I am a laboratory technician no doubt, but I don't think I am ready to venture into the tuberculosis department anytime soon. don't get me wrong, I am not saying that other people cannot do it, after all, a lot of people are doing it and they are making a lot of money from it. I just want to use this opportunity to say, bravo to those that are doing it and to those that have eventually contracted the disease while trying to save lives. But sincerely thats one Job i can never do no matter how much is involved.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Wow! That was specific
I honestly didn’t even think about that. You’re right though, a job that will put your life in danger is a no go area.
