The hustle of public transport have you have been to my school although we might say that Lagos is a Homeland of traffic where you jump buses so you can get to work early if you don't jump buses for sure you will get to work late and then if you don't know how to jump buses you jump you may break a leg and then if you don't learn how to jump buses again you will go late to work so,, therefore you have to learn how to jump buses in Lagos but then I say again have you been to my school a university where we jump buses for a living.
Now before I talk about my school we all know sometimes the experiences we have on public transport are not always pleasant. Yes, it is not always a pleasant one. Have you ever been in a tri-cycle we call it keke napep over here and you're just slender that's the type of person I am then you have a robust male or female by your left and your right with you in the middle and then God blesses you one of them has body odor? Oh my God 😂.
One thing I hate about public transportation is that your opinion is not needed I've been in the position where I boarded this bus going to a very far place I think it was a half-hour drive and I was told to sit on a very tiny chair. How can I be comfortable for six hours on that chair I was like I'm not sitting down I was trying to talk the driver into changing my chair and he said something.
If you are not boarding my bus move aside for others to enter.
There and then someone else entered and I was like 😱. So this man is serious, before I could say to Jack he has Zoomed off in my mind “I will soon buy a car don't worry”. I had to patiently wait to enter another bus. I was still grateful I waited to enter another bus because there was space, no clustering and we traveled comfortably.
So it's time to talk about my school The period I dreaded most in my school was the examination period. Like if you don't jump the bus it is believed you have automatically failed your exam for that day because everybody is rushing for the 8:00 a.m. examination just trust me you could literally see people flying into the bus through the window and if you are unfortunate before you get to your seat through the window somebody else is there and with everybody rushing into the bus you have to go back through the same way you came in 😭.
Most times I prefer to trek the distance but not alone maybe with some friends if the course you have to leave the house early enough to be able to trek down although it's a bit far on days I can't trek I will join the struggle for survival of the fittest.
Should I or should I not talk about body odor or heat in buses…… maybe a story for another day 😕 🤔.
