This phrase, "We are all humans and deserving of a second chance," has made a lot of people accept and tolerate toxic people and relationships in their lives whom they have no business keeping anymore. Mostly some of these individuals don't make a positive impact in their lives anymore.
Yes, I know people deserve forgiveness and opportunities for growth, but there are actually people that don't merit a chance at all, let alone a second chance.
I have a friend that we had been friends for long; our friendship began sometime in 2010 until this year I decided that friendship is not by force; let's all go our separate ways.
We were so close that our closeness led people in the neighborhood to assume we were dating. We did different businesses together, but I noticed that he was always cheating me, but I never bothered since I was still getting my own profit.
A turning point arrived. Last year, when I needed to purchase grains for storage, I couldn't because I was a bit under the weather. Then I transferred the money to him to get them for me. It took him over three weeks to get them to me, and requested that I needed to balance him up because prices had increased.
I noticed the bags of the grains seemed less full than usual; when I asked, he dismissed my concerns, saying it was my imagination that they were full.
Since I still had more money on me, I gave someone else to still get me some grains, and I noticed the difference was stark. The new bags were much bigger, but I kept my cool and didn't confront him. By this time the seed of distrust had been planted in me.
This year I decided to sell my stored grains before the new harvest, and I discovered a shocking discrepancy: in some of the bags, 30 tiers of grains were short while some were 20 tiers short.
I tried confronting him, and it led to arguments between us, and he said I was disturbing, and he was going to block my line, and I also reciprocated; I blocked all his numbers and also blocked him on WhatsApp.
I hate it when people cheat on me; I hate it when people take my calmness for granted and think they are wiser than me. I can't stand deceitful people
I'm someone that makes excuses for people, no matter how wrong they are, but what I won't tolerate is someone that tells lies and deceives.
Every kind of relationship should be built on mutual respect, trust, and honesty.

We all can’t stand deceitful people. Sometimes I wonder why people cheat on others especially friends. I’m sorry you had such an unpleasant experience.
