Built Through Second Chance

in HiveGhanayesterday

There is one factor about life we ought to understand that humans are imperfect but only strive to perfection. Everyone makes mistakes either consciously or unconsciously; and second chances acknowledge this. So I would say that everyone deserves a second chance, but when the offense or actions becomes a deliberate act or a habit, I believe that such a person should be allowed to be, so as to prevent being upset, or regret in future.

I believe that no matter how dire our situation may seem, we ought to remember that we deserve a second chance; so does everyone around us. I would also like to say that giving a second chance has positive as well as negative effects.

Thus second chance aids in personal growth and redemption; oftentimes many people tend to learn from their mistakes and change for the better, so when such people are not given a second chance to amend their actions if they want to, they tend to live in guilt and regret, so I would say that second chance paves way personal growth and redemption.

Second chances I would say is a symbol of forgiveness and compassion, though it's much easier to say we're forgiven, but acting becomes difficult, second chances are an attitude of forgiveness. But I'm not saying we don't have other ways we could act, but In this context I believe that giving second chances shows empathy and understanding.

Although many people have different perspectives about this; they tend to argue about this; with the fact that it's the consequences of a person's actions. Though not disputing that fact, but having the understanding that every action has its consequences either negative or positive, the outcome, one ought to stand to face it. Also it's beliefs that second chances may undermine accountability. While others say that it may put others at risk, so for their safety and protection, some people don't deserve a second chance.
And it becomes more difficult when a mistake becomes a pattern of behavior. Repeated mistakes may result in harm and may result or indicate deeper issues, and others believe that second chances may be unfair to those who haven't made mistakes, which i believe there is no such person yet, mistakes may be done consciously or unconsciously, so it all depends on the mistake done in the context. But in all, I accept these facts, but as I said earlier, when a mistake becomes a deliberate act or any action, I believe that such a person should be allowed so as to avoid deeper issues or more hurt to another person.

But before considering giving a second chance we ought to understand and consider the nature and impact of the mistake, the person's intentions and remorse, the level of remorse ought to be evaluated by the individual's willingness to learn and make amends, also evaluate to ensure that the individual takes responsibility for their action. So to avoid repetition, boundaries should be set to bring enlightenment, establishing clear expectations and consequences for any further actions.

But in all, I would say that embracing our past, striving for change, leaning on our support system, learning from our mistakes, tends to contribute to a more forgiving society. Second chances help us to rebuild and recover though it's possible through rehabilitation, also building hope and offering a fresh start and a new beginning. Ultimately, everyone deserves a second chance, but it depends on individual circumstances, context, and values.

That’s true. We need to consider the impact of the person’s actions. Everyone deserves a second chance but some second chances could send you to your early grave.
