Three weeks ago, I was off-grid for almost two weeks(no calls, no internet and no social media). This was not planned neither was it intentional.
I took to extensive reading to keep busy and boy was it a thrilling experience! 😍🥰
It is a phenomenal and eye-opening experience when we read good quality books 📚
My focus for reading was just to be entertained but I ended up with insightful truths and information on one of the crucial conversations in our lives. That is the dynamics of human communication!
From communications in our relationships to our social interactions and so on, I learnt in a week, What I would have learnt in not less than five (5) years worth of experience through reading. I actually wished I had read some of the books 📚 and gotten the knowledge earlier in life but like I always say, it's never too late to learn!
I think about it and I am tempted to believe that my Phone messed up so that I could take to reading to learn what I needed to learn from reading!
four 300+ paged books and a fifth book underway later, I learnt that
✅ Through reading insightful and practical materials, You can literally read your way into understanding people, what they do and why they do what they do.
✅You can literally read your way into good habits and read your way out of bad habits because you know better after reading.
✅The message in books teach you what you do not know and some books reaffirm what you know and maybe even what you know but were not so sure about.
✅I believe that it is due to the revelations we uncover in reading that led to our holy scriptures being written down.
