I won't argue that this year wasn't good for me because it gave me a chance to develop and broaden my learning process. Like a lot of other people, I made a list of my objectives for the year and what I intended to accomplish by the end of December 2023. I wanted to get better and learn more in 2023. During the middle of 2023, the reality of life set in, which I knew was part of my learning process.

Despite facing the ups and downs of juggling work at my place of primary assignment (PPA), online internships, and serving as the financial secretary of my CDS group, I stayed determined. But then I faced a lot of challenges regarding my work due to the fact that I was using my phone for designing and digital marketing, which wasn't comfortable for me. So I decided to buy a new laptop.

However, my stipend wouldn't be enough, and I wasn't getting money from my internship. So I decided to pursue a new laptop through a scholarship that wants to give people laptops. I had put all my mind into it; I didn't even think of any other alternatives.

I prayed and fasted, did everything, and filled out the form that was given from the scholarship. After filling it out, I submitted it. I said a lot of prayers. hoping that I will emerge as the winner.

But at the end of the day, I wasn't given the scholarship. Come and see me that day. I look depressed because I have put all my mind into it. So I thought of what to do, and I decided to start saving money. In order not to go hungry, I started taking some freelance jobs. There were times of exhaustion and uncertainty during the difficult voyage.

But I didn't give up. I learned from this experience that plans don't always work out. Notwithstanding the obstacles, each disappointment served as a teaching moment that improved my capacity for problem-solving and saving. Getting the laptop proved to be proof of my tenacity.

Remember, setbacks can lead to unforeseen opportunities. Keep pushing forward; don't give up.
