Loved your story.

I can relate in my own way. Maybe you will appreciate a different version of the same issue.

Unlike yourself I was always an honor student and top in my class as a general rule. Even in University I was on the honor roll and top 10% of the class.

However, that doesn't mean it was smooth sailing.

While some of my friends had given me the nickname "the human calculator" there was one calculation worksheet that had a few questions I just couldn't wrap my head around. I spent hours working on them and everytime the answer came out wrong. After 4 or 5 hours of frustration I finally figured out what I was doing wrong. It was incredibly frustrating but once I figured it out it was locked into my memory for life never to be forgotten.

Many things that come easy as just as easily forgotten over time.

However, the things that you truly had to work hard for....those lessons you never forget.

Thanks for writing. Really appreciated it.

Wow, I love your spirit. That is how one identifies one who will get to the top no matter the hurdles

I forgot to mention the tears and disappointment when I just couldn't figure things out.... and it was important without those calculations I couldn't progress in the course.

So when I read about your tears and struggle I just kept thinking... been there and it was awful.

Perseverance helps a lot and I'm glad we both made it through. Where I end up is up to God but fighting through difficult times teaches very valuable lessons that I feel richer for learning.... even it sucked at the time 😉
