My Hive journey: Thriving as a newbie

in HiveGhana2 years ago (edited)

Hello good evening lovely people!

My name is Emmanuel Atta Appiah but known here as @zicogh. I am a renowned journalist, reporter and events MC in Ghana. I am much enthused to be part of this challenge initiated by @collinz because it will allow me to share my experience and challenges going through after joining Hive.

Hive ecosystem I must say is not new to me because @mcsam and @collinz introduced it to me not long ago and I have joined them in their borehole projects and their educational empowerment exercises. I was happy and eager to be part of this biggest platform but I was afraid I could not get time to post everyday as they do due to my busy schedules as a journalist and reporter. Therefore I decided to use my journalism platform to support them and promote hive to my listeners. This made me dedicated an hour airtime of my program I host on radio to them to share the good news of hive to the public.

As if that's not enough, I also make sure every project they embark in Ghana, I connect them to almost all the well known and influencial bloggers in Ghana to publish them.

I have joined a lots of social media platforms and I thought those are the only place I could have enjoyment and to release stress. However, after joining Hive, I have realized that here is not only a platform to have enjoyment but to also learn and improve upon content creation especially some of us who are fond of creating something through writing. So in short,I will say I am really enjoying my time here and wish to enjoy more write ups and good contents.

On the other hand, as a newbie, I haven't had it so simple and smooth as I imagined. My biggest challenge on Hive has been fear. Sometimes before I make a post, I ask myself series of questions which create more fears within me. I ask myself questions like;
Is my topic attractive?
Will my content meet the standard?
Will I get people to upvote me?

However, after posting my introductory post and second post, I overcame the challenge outright because the love people shown me here was dumbfounding. I have learnt that, if I post something unique, I will get the love I have been looking for. Thanks to @mcsamm @collinz @awuahbenjamin and @Hiveghana as a whole for the massive support you have shown me so far.
