So while I was at my family's 4th of July picnic-cookout, my sister in-law was talking about how much stuff she sells two days a week at a flea market. She also uses Ebay. I had been talking about how I'm trying to sell cards online and I told her a bit about cryptocurrency and Hive.
Well, one thing led to another and I decided to try selling some cards at the flea market the day after fourth of July and had surprisingly decent success. Apparently it was a slow day at the market too with it being the day after the fourth and some scheduling reason.
I know it sounds silly but I was and still am totally happy I sold anything. I've never really sold anything before and it was a surprisingly satisfying rush for me. I was ill prepared and only had a couple of hours to prepare.
I sold an Edwin Encarnacion card first and I wasn't even there to see the sale happen. I was off looking at some sports memorabilia. My nephew came up to me and said I sold it, and I was pumped. Luckily my sister in-law took a pic.
I sold two other cards and a couple of card holder/cases. I sold a Deshaun Watson and a Justin Verlander card as well. You can't see them here because somebody else owns them. I actually had two Watson cards. The buyer said he likes Verlander and his son likes Watson. I felt good the cards made two people happy. I'm also never mad to get rid of a Texan, LOL.
I even had a note saying I accept cryptocurrency!
I should write a link to my Hive and maybe even promote the community!
All in all I was so happy, I really didn't expect to sell a single card going into the day.
Right now I'm preparing to go to the market again on Wednesday. I am pumped! I've been gathering materials at the time and so I have some things to hold and sell the cards relatively safely and convenitently.
I am so happy and excited to continue to do this!
I even re-invested into my little 'business' with some awesome unopened 1992 cards for an awesomely cheap price!
I was so tired from having a picnic that I tiredly prepared the day before on Sunday. Now I have days to prepare and I am more excited than last time.
This community has really been great too! It's helped push me towards this little side fun! I really learned a lot in just one day. I would honestly maybe write more but I'm literally trying to prepare for Wednesday as I write.
Hope everyone is doing well and having fun collecting!!
Any chance you collect soccer cards?
unfortunately no, but feel free to start sharing some of yours in the community! Maybe I will start collecting some lol
Do it. I think it will become insanely popular when World Cup will be in USA in 2026 ;)
That's a solid tip right there thanks!! Good stuff I will definitely keep that in mind
