You make some good points, but I don't think the mindset of the individual in terms of self confidence is always the determining factor to success, especially if they are self aware. There are many measure of success and many paths towards getting there.

My take on this article is about the need of self confidence to achieve a goal. If our mind isn't possessing that important characteristic, how can we move forward to achieve our goal?

Without having a belief on oneself, nothing is impossible. We call it self-confidence. This is my angle of thought. If you contradict on it, you are welcome to place your opinion.
