The cursed mine

Deep in the earth, men dig relentlessly, searching for riches that often cost them their lives. But there is one mine in particular, hidden deep in the mountains, that even the bravest dare not approach.

It is not just because of the cave-ins or the foul air, but because of the spectre that is said to roam its tunnels.

He had heard these stories since he was a child. His grandfather would tell him about the foreman, a ruthless man who ran the mine in the past.

He not only exploited the workers to the point of exhaustion, but brutally punished those who tried to steal even an ounce of the gold they found.

It was said that his greed was such that, even after his death, his spirit still guarded the mine, reclaiming all that was once his.

Despite his grandfather's warnings, desperation to better his situation drove him to enter the cursed mine.

There, in the darkness, he encountered the spectre of the foreman, doomed to protect his treasure for eternity.

The former foreman showed no mercy and claimed him as a new prisoner, sentencing him to join the forgotten skeletons.

Since then, the blows of two picks echo endlessly in the depths of the mine: one belongs to the spectre of the foreman, the other to his soul, condemned to share the curse of that cursed place.
