Weeks of intense laboratory work had led the Victorian-era English scientist to create the perfect drug.

Fearful but confident, he tested it on himself, consuming the yellowish liquid in one gulp.

The potion unleashed a demonic transformation within him. His body twisted and warped, turning him into a ferocious beast, driven by a desire for vengeance and destruction.

He beat his assistant and escaped to the streets of London, where he brutally savaged his unfaithful wife and her lover.

Pursued by the police, the mad scientist found momentary refuge in a lonely alley. There, in an act of blind rage, he also murdered an innocent beggar. But the drug was beginning to wear off, and real terror seized him.

Realising he would be caught, the wretched man returned to his secret laboratory. There, aware of his doom, he consumed a deadly poison.

When the police finally burst in, they found him dead, his face a livid, hideous mask, surrounded by the intense smell of bitter almonds.

A tragedy of unchecked scientific ambition, which ended in a terrible bloodbath. The price to pay for unleashing the demons that lay within him.
