RE: The Joys of Becoming a Better Father

When they are growing and llearning new activities they become more and more attractive and entertaining. My bet is no entertainment matches the activity of a toddler. How he speaks broken sentences and how he becomes a copy cat.

Well, 9 months old, who has started crawling certainly need extra care. They are always on a mission of exoloring something without discriminating the dangerous and non-dangerous.

I have a question. Is it normal at your place to let a 9 year old sleep in another room? Who takes care of him at night if you do so?

I am asking this because we let our kid sleep right beside the mother on our bed. The kid wakes up many times in the night asking for breast feed.

Sort:

Well at 9 months now he is sleeping through most of the night which has been nice. So him waking up hungry has not really been as big of an issue.

Where we live in the US, it is pretty normal for them to sleep in their own room at this age if you have a baby monitor handy and you have them on a feeding schedule. He does like to eat 1st thing in the morning though so we make sure to have bottles ready for 1st thing in the morning!

Thanks for the question! 😊

It is amazing to hear this.
Perhaps it is the difference in methods of upbringing. Our kids keep on wakening multiple times at night until they quit the mother feed.

Cool.

I have another question. Does mothers in US usually practice beast feeding or do they prefer to give top feed?

Ahh Interesting, I have never heard the term top feed before!

I am guessing you mean giving formula? I can't really speak for all the US on this one but just talking with our other friends with babies, most women want to breastfeed 100% but will do some formula to supplement as well; it really just depends on their situation! 😊

Top feed is the term frequently used here. Hehe.

Thanks for providing the details.
