"Let me write a post." He writes for a few minutes
He sees discord notifications
"Let me quickly go check what is going on over there"
seconds turn to minutes, minutes turn to hours
"Oh wow, the time has flown by. Let me get back to my post." He adds a few more lines to what he's written.
"Ugh, I'm so tired. Let me rest a little."
he switches off his laptop, determined to rest but then his phone alarm went off.
" I need to see what that is." he says
it turns out to be his daily reminder to play his play2earn online games. He quickly boots up his pc determined to get over with this as quickly as possible. While he's playing, he uses the opportunity to reply to some of his WhatsApp messages. Then a notification comes in from Twitter, he clicks on it and it turns out to be a random meme that he finds very funny. He decides to go to the comment section like he always does. It is filled with a lot of funny quirky replies and some other memes that have nothing to do with the original post. It is probably because they wouldn't get that many views on their profile, so they may as well just drop it under a viral tweet full of meme lovers to gain some attention.
In the comment section, he sees another interesting meme but he doesn't understand. He goes down the rabbit hole in search of answers.
Two hours later, he realizes that the time he wanted to use to rest has been exhausted. And now he is really exhausted.
"I have to do this. Seems I'll have to use the night to do it. Let me nap" He says to himself.
He hasn't even gone 20 minutes into his nap when he receives a phone call from his mum. He reluctantly picks up the phone call. She needs him to help her pick up something from someone nearby so that when next he's visiting he'll bring it along with him. He forces himself to get dressed, go out and get things sorted.
He comes back home tired and hungry. He glances at the clock it is 7 o'clock. He quickly fixes up something to eat. While eating he scrolls through his class WhatsApp group and realizes he has an assignment due tomorrow.
"What a life." He says to himself as he laughs cynically.
After eating he starts the assignment. It takes a few hours, but he finally completes it. Immediately afterward he dozes off.
He wakes up the next morning and he remembers he hasn't written that hive blog. He can't do that now though, he has a class. It'll have to be later
N/B: If you read this post and you know me before, it won't be hard to tell "he" is me. So basically this post is a little look into myself. Not all events are completely real, but its accurately represented. I think I get easily distracted, and having a lot on my plate doesn't help, but I know I can handle everything If I manage my time a bit better. I'll definitely be working on that.
So fucking me... So many things too do so little time, I just have to choose which I sacrificed these days because at the end what truely matters is satisfaction
hehe, I'm glad someone can relate to this. I guess you're right. Though I try to prioritize what will be more beneficial in the longer run. So that way I can get the freedom to really do what I want. Hopefully, that happens soon.
My b0s has always been lazy about writing posts so I am not surprised anymore. I wonder when he will repent and give his life to writing...lol
🤣🤣, My dear, it's not easy. You guys that do it are superheroes for real. I won't stop trying though.

Omo! I can relate to this because we tend to be carried away with lots of things. When we decide to start on something, there comes a distraction that takes us away completely, then another, and another, and before we know it, time is gone. What we intend to do at first has been tampered with and no time.
This is why when writing a post, I disabled my notification till I am done because if I don't, I might not be able to complete it.
Hmm, yes oo. Seems I'll join you in disabling notifications when I want to write. One thing I started doing was using earphones and listening to Lofi music while writing. Its helped a bit, but at times I just don't want to be listening to music while writing.
