It was supposed to be a lil metal series post but it's the series that gets forgotten and pushed around by other posts instead I have something cool to share.
Now I don't really care for collectibles and other Jazz, Like I would not invest in a Rolex or some other watch or expensive collectible, I know they can go up in value and that is all dandy but getting that value is a different story and the liquidity will only decrease as the price goes up as less people can afford it.
But when I seen this I loved it and I really wish I could get it but I probably would not even get it even if I could afford it unless I was stupid rich and then I would maybe consider but I am talking billions.
Anyway it is out of reach for most of us at least if we are being responsible
As the price tag is is the 20-30K range maybe more now.
What makes it cool is that they put the watch mechanism inside a gold coin unfortunately this is not a real gold coin that was hollowed out instead it's an 18k reproduction but I believe it matches the watches gold content of 18k
It is truly a work of art but the prize is pretty wild, I am no expert on Rolexes but I think all together the raw value of the rolex and gold is about 6k lets add 2k for labour so more than double the premium but for something like this it is understandable.

Modern as this piece of art is, it has that old world vintage feel and quality time piece. I still have this leftover pocket watch that belonged to my Gramps on my father's side. I haven't got it fixed yet. I like vintage things.
