A battle of Armored Strikers!

There is good and bad news. The good news is that conclave is set to be released next month while the sad news is that Chaos edition might be moved to the wild, Chaos monsters are the cheapest right now and make it possible for many people to play in modern format, with this edition going to wild, rebellion is expensive and conclave will be more expensive based on the fact that it is the latest edition.

Chaos Edition was overprinted which was the reason for its price tank, the movement to wild will only make the price go lower, let's see how this plays out when conclave is released.

The rebellion monsters came with all sorts of new abilities and one of them was Armored Strike, an ability that allows a monster to attack with their armor making them a double strike monster.

A few monsters like Mantaroth a legendary promo card, Nimbledook Explorer a reward card, and Skyspire Yak a core rebellion monster possess this ability but it gets more interesting when we can use a summoner to give monsters this ability.

The only summoner that makes this possible is Elias Max Pruitt, it is a dual pair abilities summoner, you can either use the first pair which is armor repair and cleans or armored strike & piercing`` and since I have been using this card, It is the latter pairs that I often go for, no time to play defense, attack with full force does it better.

I was paired with Kjira.Modern in a combo of 3 rules.

Our lineup is shown below using the same summoner to summon giant monsters and other support monsters that heal and fix armor and also choosing the armored strike and piercing ability...

The first rule was Equal Opportunity which makes monsters with the lowest health a target to the other monsters and the only way to prevent this is by using a monster with the Taunt ability, I used Bera Dallin While the opponent used Iziar, our reason for choosing these taunt monsters is different, he chose his own taunt so when it dies it can boost the stats of the two monsters adjacent it, while I choose my taunt because it has shield ability which makes it difficult to defeat and it didn't end there, I further used 2 healers and a monster with repair ability, so I was literally playing a defense game while the opponent came with full attack.

The most interesting part of the battle was the brutality of Commander Slade, I gave him the armored strike ability from Elias and he did not disappoint, and my other monsters did their part in keeping my taunt monster alive.

It was a flawless victory, no matter how hard the opponent team tried to take down my Bera Dallin, He stood strong because he had the strong support of Healers and Armor repairers that kept replenishing what he lost.

Even I fell in love with the tactic I used.
