Hello Splinter nerds
Since Dec has been removed from the leaderboard, it has been pumping which is good news for the holders but one thing that is concerning is Dec is being used as a tournament entry fee and it is affecting players who play tourny.
I guess the purpose of using Dec has entry fee is to have a use case for it but now it can be shifted back to sps to avoid players paying more than they earn in the tournament as an entry fee.
When talking about cards that are often used in battles, there is no way we will not call Eternal Tofu summoner, it falls in the top 3, and then we have the cryptic Summoner, Venka the vile, and Grimbardun Smith, these cards are important to have in modern format gameplay but if we are to talk about cards that are good but players rarely use, I will go for Fina Voxom a gladius card.
Most gladiators are not often used because of their limitations and they can only be summoned by summoners having the power to summon gladiators or if the rules state that gladiators can be used but still some opportunities warrant using them but players rarely use them because they are not used to it.
Gladiators are powerful cards with a lot of abilities so it is a pity that people don't maximize this opportunity.
Look at Fina Voxom, her abilities are amazing! the combination of the opportunity, bloodlust, and piercing is crazy because she will only target the monster with the lowest health on the opponent team, and if she kills that monster, her bloodlust gets activated which makes her stronger, and not even armor can save those monsters because of the piercing.
She also has stun and when she dies, her redemption ability gets activated which takes 1 physical damage from all the monsters in the opponent team.
I had a battle where I was paired with Beffeater in a 15 mana ruleset and only two splinters were made available.[ fire and death]
We were given three rulesets:
Reach: All units possess this ability which makes melee monster attack from the second position.
Are you not Entertained?: One gladiator monster can be used.
Taking sides: No neutral monsters can be used.
The mana is so low and no neutral monsters, which means all those zero mana card and 1 mana neutral monsters can't be used.
It requires deep thought before coming up with a lineup, after thinking about it, I decided to use lux vega to summon the fire monsters while the opponent also used the same Lux to summon fire monsters.
One similar thing in our lineup is that we used a gladiator but not the same kind, I used Fina while she used a nonattack gladiator Krash Wonderford which gives additional speed to his Continuum seer that is his main attacker.
It was not easy defeating his seer, I had a lot of misses but thanks to Gobalano soldier who eventually eliminated it and from there it was easy to eliminate his team.

I don't have the Fina Voxom, but anytime I play against it, it's scary. It's one of the legendary gladiator that I don't have and Imagine playing a level 4 of it.
Good game. I think that backfire must've scared you a little, but then immediately it was taken care of, you were good to win
The card is too good, I love all gladiators cos of their bloodlust when I saw the last card, I admired the opponent confidence in it and it did great actually and i had trouble hitting it but thanks to Gobalano , if not could have been a loss for me
