Luceheim Demon: Testing the prowess of one of the rebellion reward cards in battle

Hello Splinter nerds

In the last season, I mentioned how I am spending my Glint in maxing the reward cards cos I felt bad whenever I lost a battle because the opponent monster's level was higher than mine.

I am done with maxing out the common rebellion reward cards last season. Immediately after I got the glint for the season that just ended, I visited the shop and took the "rare draw" to batch 4, which made it possible to max out most of my rare reward cards. There are just 2 left to be maxed, but the main ones I used in battle are maxed now!

I noticed that I have not come across some of these reward cards in battles so I decided to test them out on my own and the one I used this time was Luceheim Demon

It is a common rebellion reward card with nice abilities... It possesses 3 unique abilities which are:

  • Snipe: This ability makes it target the first opponent monster with range/magic or no attack but which is not in the front line.

  • Cleanse: This ability takes away all negativity from the unit in the first position on the friendly team.

  • Triage: It heals the backline monster that has taken the most damage.

Players rarely use it even with the amazing stats that it possesses, at least I have yet to see any player using it, I guess it could be because of its low speed and when it comes to reverse ruleset where it could shine, most players prefer using the Earth deck!

An opportunity arose for me to use this monster in battle, it was a 3 ruleset battle.

The first rule indicates that no melee monsters are allowed in the battle, the second rule is not favorable to magic monsters because all monsters have the magic reflect and the third rule indicates that we can only use 4 monsters in total!.

It is obvious both players would stay away from anything magic because of the second rule, so we both expected the other to use range monsters which is the reason why we used the summoner Ilthain with the return fire stats.

I wonder about the reaction of the opponent when the teams were revealed, he must have noticed it was a lost battle for him .

My formation

Grimbardun Smith

Smith was my tank and it contributed to the win because his shield and repair abilities made it impossible for the opponent monster to defeat it before they eliminated themselves cos of the return fire ability... It was also one of the last monsters standing in my team that saw the battle to the end.

Luceheim Demon

This monster had a lot of misses which was because of its low speed and the speed of the opponent monster it was trying to hit was very high but without it, the battle might have ended in a draw, I was able to win because of its triage healing prowess, that kept it alive when the Fatigue happened.

Venari CrystalSmith

The Venari served as the healing tank and it tried its best to stay alive and keep supplying Smith health but it was not possible due to the return fire damage and it was also targetted randomly by the opponent monster with the scattershot ability.

Doctor Blight

Even though the rule was against magic monsters, I chose to use the doctor just to avoid a situation where the opponent use a healing monster and uses that advantage to win without hindrance for me, Blight has affliction and poison which can prevent such... Unfortunately, it was the first to die at the beginning of the battle with just one strike from the opponent monster...

The Luciem is a useful common card, although it mostly comes alive when you've maxed it out. The triage is such a useful ability, and imagine a soulbound card having such ability. Good win.

yea the triage ability is important
