The last time I was teary for watching a moving has been long.
I just finished re-watching Train to Busan when Movie Box recommended another horror film that happened to be what happened 4 years after the zombie outbreak in Train to Busan and the title is Peninsula.

A lot of people lost their family including a soldier who lost his sister and nephew but was lucky to get to Hong Kong which was safe from the disease.
He was contacted by some thugs on a contract to go back to the city in search of a truck loaded with money, There were four on the mission[the ex-soldier, his sister's husband with two other strangers]... The money was 20 million dollars and the owner offered to share half of it with the 4 of them which makes it 2.5 million dollars per person, it was too good an offer for them to decline.
I am not planning to narrate the whole movie but some parts inspired me to write this post.
In the beginning, when the soldier was escaping the city in his car with his family, he met a family of 4[husband, wife, and two kids] who asked for his help to onboard them but he didn't... The mother begged him to save her daughters only but he refused, the plot twist was the same girls he refused to save back then were the ones who rescued him when they were attacked by zombies during their return to the city.
They took him to their house and when he saw their mother, he remembered her immediately and felt guilty for abandoning them, A guilty conscience could not make him live with it so he confessed to the woman and she told him 31 cars refused to help them that day.
Sometimes certain things happened for a reason, if he had onboarded them in his vehicle, they wouldn't have made it either because the facility he took his family was outrun by zombies and that was how he lost his people.
Then he would have died without anyone to save him when he went back to the city too.

Now let us get to the part that got me teary.
So in the end, A helicopter with some soldiers came for them but the mother was stuck in a bus and one of the soldiers said best decision was to leave without her there was nothing they could do to save her because the zombies had surrounded the motor, but the two daughters insisted they are not leaving without their mother.
Sensible decision my ass, did you even give it a try
It was the ex-soldier who remembered the words of his in-law who died on their return to the city so he decided to try and save the woman, she was also planning to kill herself but at the last moment, she also decided to try to save herself and it was a success!
The scene made me teary, on one part were the daughters who were not ready to leave their mama behind, on the other part was the ex-soldier who was ready to risk it all and give it a try to save the woman and the last part is the woman who gave up on death and would rather try to save her life than make it easy for death.
This is a real-life lesson. Some people give up on their dreams because they feel it is no longer possible to achieve them without even giving them a try!
If I am to rate this movie
Action: 10/10
