Hello Splinter nerds
Have you bought or faced the two new promo cards in battle yet?
In case you are still not sure of what am talking about... Go directly to the shop section on Splinterlands homepage, under the legends
you will see the two new promo cards...
The two are now available in Emp-warden but this post is about one of the promo cards which I have fallen in love with because of his stats and how brutal it is in battle...
Riklauniman is the name of the promo card and it is a legendary monster... This monster cost 11 mana but it is worth it and it won't matter as long as I will be using it in battles that cost 52 mana above... There will always be a position for it...*
Why do I love this monster?
I have always been a fan of monsters with 2 modes of attack because they can do more damage when they attack, and Riklauniman is one of the monsters with two modes of attack.
Riklaun is special! there is one melee monster that also has 2 modes of attack but it can't attack from the rear, Rik can do that easily because it possesses the
charge
ability that allows melee monsters to attack from any position. The
expose
ability was only possessed by a summoner calledCryptic
before the existence of Rik, this is why I often use the water splinter because that expose gives me some sort of confidence in the battleground, now that Rik possesses the same ability, you will be seeing more battles with it!Rik also possesses
stun
ability which could hinder the opponent monster affected by it, it also has a high-range attack, which makes this card one of a kind!
I am not yet opportune to try the kindred will ability that comes with it yet cos it states that to be able to activate it, the opponents adjacent to it must also have this ability and Rik is still the first monster to possess it, so that is going to take a while I guess.
The Life and Earth Splinter just got stronger with the release of this promo card
I had a lot of battles with it already and here is 1 below with an opponent that also uses the card, it seems I am not the only one in love with it.
Our lineup was also similar, just a few monster differences... We both used Rik and Olivia of the Brook
because of her mimic ability and because she is a game changer.
Fortunately for me, My defense was stronger so I was able to penetrate the opponent's defense faster and that gave me the win!
His mistake was placing Olivia after Rik, I placed my Olivia before Rik which made it impossible to attack Rik when Olivia is still alive.
It was an epic battle... If you have not gotten your Rik yet, you know better!

The placement of cards can be very underrated in games, and that's how you won this. The Rik card is a dangerous card, and having the Olivia in front of it just have you that extra range attack when that of the enemy was already in the front.
very dangerous, been enjoying the game play more with it...
So it's a newly released card? Wow
yes, a promo card and it is still on market, it will end in 9 days time
As a none action gamer.
I enjoy reading all the adventures.
Nice one
Monsters with two attacks is just like using a bird to kill two stones
