Making money in Nigeria now as someone that was not either born with a silver spoon nor have connection with someone in power is involves a very hard work.
Back in the days, our parents struggles to send us to school, to get educated and have certificate because people in offices are being paid a very good salary. Our parents encourages us to focus on our study ,so that we don't do arduous job before we get good pay but nowadays only your certificate can take you no where if you dont have connections for people to get you that job.

This has made a lot of people run into vocational work, when a lot of people choose school, vocational work also becomes demanding bcos less people are into it but now there is now a lot of competition. When I started learning catering, it was not this common everywhere ,so my aim was I would make it with this job I choose cos it's not too common but since I graduated ,it's has been catering shops here and there, online ,baker here and there . I started getting discouraged. I talked about it with my sis and she suggests maybe I learn another trade with this and makes it two, I thought about the idea and I think its a very good one.

My sister suggested I go for hairdresser, people that makes hair , I thought about it and I reason it will affect my catering work, so I came to conclusion to learn event decorations,this goes along with my first trade ,all involves events. I went for it and am glad I did. So, today if work did not come from cake or food catering,it might come from the decorations.That has really helped me.
My Advise is that Nigeria situation now calls to have more than just one way that brings money. You are not the best, competition is all everywhere.
