Money is important and key to having a successful relationship and you may not have a great, healthy and successful relationship if you don't know how to handle money matters. Money is as vital t a relationship just as love and sex is. Money is the real deal. Money could make your partner love you more or dislike, start suspecting or disregarding you.
"Love that is built on money is not genuine."
I'm sure this will be the thoughts in some people's mind after reading my first few lines.
But that's not exactly my point. The point I'm driving at is that it is of great importance to know the financial status, responsibility and prudency of your spouse before planning to start a life with them. Let's take for instance, you have a partner who spends on frivolities, gambling, and the likes or he's secretive about his financial status, selfish and doesn't spend on you with lot of complain - any of these could make a relationship collapse. Inappropriate and unproductive financial decisions are prone to destroy relationships.

A lot of relationships have crashed as a result of money related issues and the knowledge about managing finances in relationships would make it easy to prevent and enjoy the relationship.
I'd share some tips below on how to manage your finances in your relationship.
1.) Try as much as possible to be open in your relationship and don't keep any secrets. Money related issues is one that a lot of couple tend to shy away from because it doesn't end well sometimes. It is important that your partner know about your investment, debts, salary among others.
2.) It is not the best to put the financial load on one person. Both the man and woman should be responsible for bringing money to the home. It will weigh the other person down if the load is too much. Share the bills among one another to make it easy for the two of you.
3.) Imbibe the habit of saving. It prevents running heltersketer when unforseen circumstances events arises.
In conclusion, a happy relationship is that whose foundation is built on trust and sincerity and this should also transcend to money related issues.
