In a world in chaos, where humans had squandered their potential, God decided to abandon creation, leaving life and death in the hands of mankind itself.
To maintain a precarious order, The Firm was created, a company that controlled the ‘Brain of God’, a system that decided who lived and who died based on data and algorithms.
One morning, a young employee of The Firm, with tousled hair and a simple dress, was rushing to catch the bus. She tripped and her folder fell to the floor, scattering papers and pencils.
Among them, a small, shiny metal sickle caught the eye of a nearby hot dog vendor.
He rushed to help her pick up her belongings.
-Can I help you pick up your things,’-he offered kindly.
-Thank you, - she replied as he handed her the folder back.
Seeing the peculiar sickle, he picked it up curiously. ’
-What is this, a sickle?
The young woman adjusted her glasses and reached out to take the object.
-Yes, -she nodded earnestly. -I use it to collect souls.
He felt a shiver run down his spine.
In that dystopian world where life and death were decided by a cold and calculating system, that sickle represented The Firm's power over the fate of humanity.
And the young employee was one of the sinister pawns charged with executing the sentences of the ‘Brain of God’.
